How the Background Screening Process Works
Many applicants want to know what happens after they receive a background screening request. The process usually follows a clear sequence.
1 / A Company Requests Screening
An employer, property manager, or other authorized organization requests a background check for a legally permissible purpose.
2 / You Complete Authorization
You may be asked to complete disclosures, consent forms, identity details, or provide supporting documentation.
3 / We Process the Report
Global Background Screening gathers information from relevant sources based on the services ordered and applicable law.
4 / The Requesting Company Reviews It
We provide the report to the requesting company. We do not make the employer’s, client’s, or property manager’s final decision.
5 / You May Have Rights Before a Final Decision
If a report may be used in a way that negatively affects you, applicable law may require that you receive certain notices and an opportunity to review or dispute the information before a final decision is made.
Important Note About Hiring or Leasing Decisions
Global Background Screening, LLC does not make hiring, engagement, leasing, or other eligibility decisions for our clients. Final decisions are made by the employer, property manager, or other organization that requested the report.
